instruction for bread omelette

  • 4 slices of brown bread
  • 2 egg
  • 1 tbsp Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 finely chopped Green Chilli
  • 1, finely chopped Capsicum,
  • Salt – as per taste
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • Pepper
  • Ketchup
  • Grated cheese or cheese slice
  • Oil – 1 teaspoon (you may also use a single square of butter)

Instruction for bread omelette

  1. In a bowl, whisk the egg until the mixture is foamy. Mix well after adding the vegetables, green chillies, and preferred seasoning.
  2. A flat cooking pan with the oil in it should be heated.
  3. The egg mixture should be poured into the hot pan, spread evenly, and cooked for 2 minutes over a medium temperature. Once the omelette’s sides begin to brown and the top appears to be halfway done, flip it. From the flat pan, raise the omelette.
  4. Toast one slice of bread by placing it on the same pan. Place the omelette on top of the bread and square it up in the meantime. Alternately, lay the cheese slice or grated cheese in the centre first before folding. Make sure the cheese melts.
  5. Flip it over after placing the other bread piece on top to toast the other slice.
  6. Take it off the heat once the surface starts to crisp. Serve the sandwich warm after being cut in half.

Notes

  • While pouring the egg onto the pan, the heat should be kept low. It is easier to dip the bread slices in the egg mixture before it solidifies if the egg is cooked slowly.
  • This recipe can be made with or without the cheese.
  • Adapt the amount of chilli powder to your preferences.
  • You can also use pepper powder or chopped chillies or red chilli powder.
  • While serving, if you’d like, you might top the dish with some chopped onions.

Serving suggestion

For a truly memorable meal, serve it with green chutney or tomato sauce. Sprinkle little coriander leaves and green chillies. Serve hot with tea.
