A vegetarian snack recipe called “Soya Kabab” is made with soy chunks and seasoning. It’s vegetarian kabab, and it’s fantastic. Enjoy with green chutney or tomato sauce.
gram flour, onion, green chili, garam masala, red chili powder, ginger, garlic, and black pepper are used to make the batter. The Kabab tastes better as a result. Kababs are a fantastic appetizer to partially fill your stomach.
Ingredients for soya kabab
- 1 cup Soyabean
- 2 Medium Sized Boiled Potato
- 1/4 cup green peas (fresh or frozen)
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- Garlic paste -2 tbsp
- Ginger paste-1 tbsp
- Coriander powder-1 tsp
- Cumin powder-1 tsp
- Garam masala-1 tsp
- Kashmir chilli paste-1 tbsp
- Chat masala-1 tsp
- Oil for pan-frying
- Salt as per taste
Instructions for soya kabab

Firstly Boil potatoes and green peas.
- Now, Soak soya granules/ minced soya in boiling water for 5 minutes covered with a lid.
- Add a pinch of salt as well.
- After 5 minutes remove from hot water and wash it with cold water 2 to 3 times.
- Squeeze out all water. Take a blending jar and put soya chunks in it.
- Now blend the Soya chunks coarsely.
- Shift the soya chunks into a bowl.
- Add boiled and mashed potatoes to that bowl.
- Now add bread crumbs and garlic paste, ginger paste, Kashmir chili paste, garam masala, coriander powder, chat masala, salt, and cumin powder & mix well.
- Now divide it into equal portions.
- Now apply some oil to your palm.

Prepare small balls, press them and give them a shape for frying.
- Pro tip: To add a bit more crunch, you may also cover this in bread crumbs. Create a slurry using water and cornstarch for that. Roll the kabab in bread crumbs after dipping it in slurry.This step is entirely optional, though. Without breading, the kababs can be baked or pan-fried.
- Heat oil in a pan and place the shaped cutlet pieces on the pan.
- Shallow fry it on the medium flame from both sides till it turns into golden brown color.
- Flip to another side carefully after 3 – 4 minutes so that one side is fully cooked and turns golden in color. fry both sides equally.

After the kabab turns golden and crisp, transfer it to a plate and fry the next batch.

Now your Perfect Kabab is ready, and you can enjoy them.
Serving Suggestions
Serve with ketchup or mint chutney and sliced pickled onions. serve the soya kabab by sprinkle chaat masala.
Serve them hot with laccha paratha, or chapati with green chutney, onion slices and lemon wedges. Enjoy.
Tips and Variations
- To make this gluten free, used 2 tbsp roasted gram flour in place of breadcrumbs.
- Just strain all the excess water off the peas and soy granules to avoid your mixture from becoming too loose to hold on the skewers.
- Onion or any other fresh leaves or vegetables (if you choose to add), should be finely chopped.
