Instructions for soya kabab

  1. Firstly Boil potatoes and green peas.
  2. Now, Soak soya granules/ minced soya in boiling water for 5 minutes covered with a lid.
  3. Add a pinch of salt as well.
  4. After 5 minutes remove from hot water and wash it with cold water 2 to 3 times.
  5. Squeeze out all water. Take a blending jar and put soya chunks in it.
  6. Now blend the Soya chunks coarsely.
  7. Shift the soya chunks into a bowl.
  8. Add boiled and mashed potatoes to that bowl.
  9. Now add bread crumbs and garlic paste, ginger paste, Kashmir chili paste, garam masala, coriander powder, chat masala, salt, and cumin powder & mix well.
  10. Now divide it into equal portions.
  11. Now apply some oil to your palm
  12. Prepare small balls, press them, and give them a shape for frying.
  13. Pro tip: To add a bit more crunch, you may also cover this in bread crumbs. Create a slurry using water and cornstarch for that. Roll the kabab in bread crumbs after dipping it in slurry. This step is entirely optional, though. Without breading, the kababs can be baked or pan-fried.
  14. Heat oil in a pan and place the shaped cutlet pieces on the pan.
  15. Shallow fry it on medium flame from both sides till it turns into golden brown color.
  16. Flip to another side carefully after 3 – 4 minutes so that one side is fully cooked and turns golden in color. fry both sides equally.
  17. After the kabab turns golden and crisp, transfer it to a plate and fry the next batch.
  18. Now your Perfect Kabab is ready, and you can enjoy them.
