Dalia recipe for weight loss

Dalia has a great flavor and is simple to prepare.

1) 1/2 cup broken wheat (Dalia)
2) 1 chopped tomato
3) 3 tablespoon peas
4) 1 small chopped carrot
2 teaspoon ghee
5) 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
6) 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste

7) 1/2 TEASPOON TURMERIC
8) SALT AS REQUIRED
9) ½ CUP ONION, CHOPPED
10) 1/4 TEASPOON ASAFOETIDA
11) 1/2 CUP SOAKED MOONG DAL
12) 4 CUP WATER

Step 1

firstly, in a pan heat 1 tsp ghee. Add in ½ cup dalia / broken wheat and roast on low flame until aromatic.

further in a cooker heat 1 tsp oil, 1 tsp jeera and pinch of hing. saute till the jeera splutters.

Step 3

additionally, add in ½ tsp ginger paste and 2 green chilli. saute for a minute. furthermore, add in 1 tomato and saute till it turns soft and mushy.

Step 4

also add 2 tbsp peas, ½ carrot, ½ tsp turmeric and salt to taste.saute for a minute or two.

step 5

add in ½ cup moong dal, soaked for 20 minutes. saute for a minute. Combine thoroughly and pressure cook for three whistles. 

step 6

finally, serve mixed vegetable dalia with curd or some pickle.
